As we all aware of the crimes committed By the UN soldiers in Haiti: Killings, rapes, cholera, kidnappings, it is imperative that a time table for Minustah to leave Haiti should be set accordingly by the new government. In a joint press conference recently with the secretary of state Hillary Clinton, the president elect Michel Martelly believes Minustah is playing an important role restoring the peace in Haiti! Is he for real or just playing politics? We believe that a time table must be set immediately as soon as the new government take office. Haiti should not be occupied by any foreign forces under any circumstances, due to the fact that our founding fathers fought and won the greatest battle ever recorded in history for our freedom.
During his last interview with the Miami Herald, the President elect Michel Martelly reinforce the important role of the reincarnation of a more civilized Haitian Army to replace the Minustah soldiers that occupied Haiti for years now. A response well received by the Haitian community who are fed up by the killings and rapes committed by these soldiers in Haiti. Nevertheless, we still remembered the dark days of our own military, but a modernized Haitian Army is more than welcome to ensure the security and prosperity of our nation. Maybe that was just a political move by our new president elect or is he already under pressure to keep the Minustah in place in Haiti. Time will tell!
